Blakemore Foodservice has launched a new click & collect service at its Darlaston distribution centre to lure customers away from supermarkets in the West Midlands during the coronavirus pandemic.

The service, which has a minimum spend of £50 per order, allows members of the public to buy food in bulk.

Customers can choose from about 200 product lines, including store cupboard essentials, chilled and frozen food, fresh meat and produce boxes, and order online on a dedicated website.

Orders placed before 3pm from Monday to Saturday will be ready for next-day collection.

“At this difficult time, many people are facing challenges buying essential groceries,” said Blakemore Foodservice head Caoire Blakemore.

“Our next-day click & collect service provides a quick and easy alternative to supermarket queues and waiting weeks for online deliveries. Customers don’t even have to leave their cars – we’ll load their goods for them.”
