Darren Pugh has been promoted to operations director at Blakemore Wholesale, a Landmark member, following its recent HQ relocation from Willenhall to Wolverhampton.
Pugh started his career at the Co-operative Group where he worked for four years before becoming manager of a Blakemore-owned Spar store in north Wales. He briefly worked with the wholesaler CTM, but rejoined Blakemore as an area manager for Tates Stores before moving to sales and assisting the integration of NAAFI into Spar within the Blakemore region.
Pugh then became operations manager for ambient products at the company’s Spar wholesale arm, AF Blakemore.
MD Sam Wilcox said: “Darren’s appointment is the final stage in the reorganisation of our Wholesale Cash & Carry business following Russell Grant’s appointment as trading director and Richard Frost’s move from Blakemore Food Service to take on sales & marketing.”
