Blossom Hill is extending its bestselling Classics range with two variants.
Brand owner Percy Fox & Co said trials had shown the new wines - a Fresh & Juicy White and Smooth & Spicy Red - had brought incremental growth to the Classics range. Rolling out to supermarkets this week, the wines will be supported with PoS communicating the taste.
Two-thirds of consumers used wine style as a way of identifying the wines they knew they would like, said brand marketing manager Liz Ashdown, citing Millward Brown data.
Blossom Hill is the top-selling UK off-trade wine brand, with sales up 1.7% to £255.5m on volume down 1.3% [Nielsen 52 w/e 15 September 2012].
