Booker, the UK's biggest cash and carry operator, has kicked off its 50th anniversary celebrations with a month of deep promotions for independent retailers.
The promotions will all be based on the theme of 50 to mark Booker's buying a majority share in Alfred Button & Sons in 1957, its first venture into food distribution. They will include 50% off, 50% POR (profit or return) and 50% extra free .
Running until 15 March, the promotions will be the first in a series that will continue throughout the year.
Among products in the activity are Cathedral City Cheddar, Bell's Scotch Whisky, Fanta, Dr Pepper and Sprite.
"Booker is committed to increasing our choice, lowering our prices and improving our service," said Steve Fox, director of retail and Premier development.
"The products have been specially selected to ensure we offer some great savings deals to start the celebration of Booker's 50 years of wholesaling. Throughout the year we will be celebrating with more great deals ."
