Booker has opened its 3,300th Premier store and recruited 330 new members in the past financial year.
The recruitment follows the wholesaler’s decision to relaunch the symbol earlier this year with new, modern imagery and mission-based layout. The revamp also included a number of new initiatives such as a kids zone concept, a wider range of non-food and food-to-go options plus bigger SKUs to increase margins.
More than 100 Premier retailers now feature the refreshed fascia.
“It is Premier’s job to help retailers make more profits as they are facing a whole raft of new legislation that all impacts their bottom line profits and I’m pleased with the progress we’ve made,” said Premier director Martin Swadling.
“We have taken the learnings from our trial store in Sheffield and rolled them out across the estate with over 100 now currently reflecting this.”
Manvir Singh, owner of the 3,300th Premier store Chahal Convenience, added: “I have joined from another symbol group as I believe Premier offers me and my business new and better ways of selling more and making more profits,”
