Booker is to launch a hand-held ice cream under its Euro Shopper own-label range this month.
The Euro Shopper Classic, a vanilla ice cream coated with Belgian chocolate, is price-marked at 49p and will provide a profit on return of 35%.
"It's a fantastic product," said Booker retail director Steve Fox. "It provides great value for money for shoppers and a high margin for retailers. We are confident shoppers will be impressed with the quality."
Booker is also adding three fruit juices to its Euro Shopper soft drinks range.
The orange, apple and blackcurrant juices are available in 200ml cartons price-marked at 25p and offer 33% profit on return.
"The products have been introduced following customer feedback," added Fox. "These are ideal products for lunchboxes and pocket-money purchases, with the orange and apple juice counting as one portion of your 5-a-day."
