Border Biscuits has boosted its senior team with five new hires.
The hires are made up individuals with a host of fmcg experience, at brands including Cadbury, Tesco and Genius Foods.
Mark Chance has taken up the position of sales director, spearheading the company’s ambitious market share strategy. Chance joins the business following stints at Purity Brewing, Cadbury and Tyrells.
Kevin Smithson has joined as operations director and will be responsible for overseeing the business’ refinement of its end-to-end supply chain efficiencies. He joins from Tennent’s-owner C&C Group and has previously worked at Genius Foods and The Jordans & Ryvita Company.
Simon Stoten has been appointed as finance director, joining with experience at Greene King and Tesco.
Lisa Mullen has joined the roster as technical manager and will be tasked with maintaining the brand’s “exceptional standards” in biscuit making, it said.
Finally, a new master biscuiteer, Linda Brown, has been added to the lineup. She will use her “wide-ranging” expertise to lead the brand’s innovation pipeline.
Border Biscuits MD Paul Parkins said the hires marked “a huge milestone” for the biscuit brand, adding that the high calibre of additions was “absolutely indicative of Border Biscuits’ direction of travel”.
“As a business, we have ambitious targets for growth which are supported by significant investment. We’re pleased to have further strengthened our senior team as we lay the solid foundations to build that growth.”
