Prepared salad company Soleco UK launched a range of three salad snack bowls under the Florette brand at the show, targeting shoppers on the go.
Retailing at £1.39, the bowls will be available from mid-April in the multiple and convenience sector in three variations: Italian salad with tomato croutons and herb dressing, Caesar salad with croutons and Caesar dressing and sweet and crunchy salad, with French dressing.
The launch coincides with the French company's first British TV ad campaign to boost the brand in the run-up to summer, Florette's peak retail season. Featuring the strapline, Never Forgette Florette, the £1.5m campaign will be supported by instore promotions and merchandising initiatives. A second salad pack, endorsed and branded by top chef Raymond Blanc, is also in the pipeline.
The company is increasing capacity at its Lichfield plant in a £2m project due for completion in May.
