Nutricia UK’s commercial director Richard Davies has returned to the drinks industry after six years with the company.
Davies has moved to Welsh independent brewer Brains as sales and marketing director.
He was responsible for Nutricia UK’s £100m infant nutrition and supplement division, which makes brands such as Cow & Gate and Milupa.
However, before joining the business he spent 16 years in the drinks industry, beginning his career at Courage Take Home, working in national accounts and trade marketing.
In 1986 he became national account manager at cider manufacturer HP Bulmer, managing the development of brands such as Perrier, Volvic and Amstel beer. His last role
there before joining Nutricia UK was national retail account controller.
Scott Waddington, chief executive of Brains, said: “Richard brings an impressive level of industry knowledge and national sales and marketing experience to our board.
“We are investing heavily in our pubs and brands and sales and marketing is a key area for driving future growth.”
