Brakes has launched a new promotional campaign aimed at helping food businesses faced with rising employment costs from April.
The ‘Ways to Save’ initiative kicks off with what the foodservice giant says is its most comprehensive cashback offer to date. Customers will be able to get money back on more than 500 of the wholesaler’s Classic Sysco products, as well as additional cashback extras providing up to 20% on a range of Sysco and branded products.
Brakes is also providing supporting materials to encourage customers to save by reducing kitchen waste, cost reductions and low-cost recipe ideas. A new ‘Ways to Save’ logo has been added to the Brakes website guiding customers to products and support solutions that will help them save money.
“We have invested in a huge programme of activity to support independent businesses when they need it most,” said Paul Nieduszynski, CEO at Brakes’ owner Sysco GB.
“There are many and varied challenges facing food companies and we’re playing our part by launching our biggest-ever cashback campaign.
“We’re confident that the scale of the programme means that every single independent business will benefit, with cash in their pocket, available almost immediately so that they can use it straight away.”
Hospitality businesses are facing higher bills from April due to the government’s planned increases to the national living wage and employers’ National Insurance contributions.
