Foodservice specialist Brakes is to launch a new bespoke customer rewards scheme this month.
The Mybrakes rewards programme is personalised to individual customers, allowing them to earn cashback on all online purchases, receive gifts and donate to charity as they spend.
As part of the scheme, Brakes is also partnering with the Eden Reforestation Project, a charity that supports global communities affected by deforestation.
Each time a customer redeems their cashback offer, the organisation will plant up to five trees on their behalf.
Those signing up to the scheme in January will also be entitled to plant an additional tree free of charge.
Customers can choose to donate cashback earned through the scheme to local charities, or spend it on merchandise such as new electronics, kitchen items and gift cards at the Mybrakes rewards store.
Brakes said it had designed the rewards programme around extensive customer feedback, which indicated a preference for more personalised offers.
“It’s clear that while the market remains so tough, everyone in foodservice needs some support. Mybrakes rewards will offer our existing and new customers the opportunity to re-invest in their business, themselves, staff and communities,” said Brakes customer marketing director Leon French.
“We believe that Mybrakes rewards is a real step forward,” he added. “Customers will know exactly what they’ve saved, and what it’s worth, benefiting from a massive choice of rewards, while continuing to support communities and great causes on a local and global scale, as well as further enhancing the customer support they receive from Brakes.”
The new scheme follows Brakes’ Christmas support package, which saw the business offer customers 10% cashback from 3 October to 31 December.
