Starburst is targeting the sharing market with a move into pouches as part of a brand revamp.
The sharing bags, similar to those already used by brand owner Wrigley for Skittles, are rolling out now in Original Fruity Chews and Smoothies flavours (rsp: £1.28). The brand is also being given a “brighter, more vibrant look” and a flash on pack saying “no artificial colours or flavours”.
A limited-edition The British Collection - featuring strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry and apple flavours - also joins the line-up in pouch and stick formats.
Wrigley is supporting the relaunch with a £2m push including TV, outdoor, sampling and online activity.
