Brighton Gin is rolling out a limited edition rainbow pack to celebrate Pride Brighton & Hove on 5 August.
Four hundred bottles of the spirit featuring rainbow labels and pink wax seals will be available in independents across the East Sussex city from 1 August (rsp: £40/70cl). A portion of proceeds from each bottle will be donated to the Rainbow Fund, which funds local LGBT+ and HIV/AIDS organisations.
The pack would “celebrate the free-thinking, campaigning and hedonistic spirit” of Brighton, said Brighton Gin founder Kathy Caton. “We’re so proud of that and want to contribute to the essential work of the Rainbow Fund in supporting the city’s LGBTQ community and voluntary sector.”
Brighton Gin isn’t the only spirit brand to get behind the LGBT+ community this year. Pernod Ricard-owned Absolut launched a limited edition rainbow bottle in June to mark the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality.
