British Lion has joined forces with Wrap’s Love Food Hate Waste push to highlight how eggs can help cut food waste.
To mark this year’s British Egg Week (6 to 12 October), the partnership has developed recipes that use eggs to make a meal with leftovers. Dishes include Bacon & sweetcorn omelette and broccoli & feta strata.
Consumers were looking for ways to use up leftover food, said British Egg Industry Council chairman Andrew Joret.
