Britvic has hired Munnawar Chishty as GB marketing director.
Chishty is an industry veteran, with 30 years’ experience working in senior marketing roles for the likes of GSK, Johnson & Johnson and Scottish & Newcastle.
She is currently VP & global category director for beauty at Walgreen Boots Alliance.
Chisty has spent the past four years heading up Walgreen Boots Alliance’s global portfolio of beauty brands, including the likes of No7, Soap & Glory and Liz Earle. She also leads the incubator team responsible for digital consumer experience transformation, the gifting team and local marketing teams across the globe.
Chishty would bring “considerable expertise in commercial, innovation, digital marketing and of developing iconic campaigns”, said Britvic, having worked on the John Smith’s adverts starring Peter Kay and campaigns starring the Spice Girls and Gary Lineker for Walkers.
“These skills will be invaluable as Britvic continues to deliver against its commercial strategy by investing in its strong portfolio of brands and accessing new growth spaces,” it said.
Chishty said she felt “privileged to be leading the talented teams in Britvic marketing”.
“I’m looking forward to further the company’s mission and building on the incredible marketing plans across the iconic portfolio of brands.”
Britvic GB MD Paul Graham said he was “delighted to welcome Munnawar to Britvic”.
“She is extremely talented and will bring a wealth of creativity, leadership, and commercial focus to the role, which will help us deliver sustainable growth across our portfolio of owned brands.”
It comes after former Britvic GB marketing director Bruce Dallas moved to a new role within the business as commercial growth director in April 2022.
