A cider popular with Glastonbury festival-goers is on its way into the off-trade from this week.
Brothers Drinks - formed in 1992 by four brothers from the Showering cider-
making family in Somerset - has launched its four-strong Brothers range of premium bottled naturally sparkling ciders, each priced at about £1.59 for a 500ml bottle.
The range includes its 7% abv Festival-strength Pear Cider, which has been served at the Glastonbury music festival for the past ten years, a 4.7% abv Pear Cider, a 4.7% abv Original Cider and a 4% abv Strawberry Mixed Pear Cider.
Matthew Showering from Brothers Drinks said: “There has never been a better time to launch a range of bottled ciders and we are very excited about these products. The popularity of the brand has been highlighted by the number of online sales, and shows that consumers are developing a taste for our ciders.”
Showering noted that Brothers had sold 60,000 bottles of its Pear Cider since it was available to buy online six months ago. The launch will be supported by a consumer PR and marketing drive.
