Budgens has launched a “madcap” digital Christmas campaign, Nan Vs Deals.
The campaign, running online and across the symbol’s social media accounts until 23 December, features a series of 10 video adverts to promote seasonal offers.
The series shows a nan completing Christmas challenges including a shopping trolley slalom through Strongbow cans and throwing raspberries into glasses of Treviso Prosecco.
The videos are geo-targeted to store locations and each user will not see each advert more than twice on a device.
“We wanted to create a fun, madcap way to highlight our Christmas offers and generate a great way to stand out at a busy Christmas time,” said Budgens brand director Mike Baker.
“The adverts will drive all types of consumers to Budgens stores and make them aware of the Christmas offers, with a view that this engagement will encourage them to follow us on social media and, importantly, make them laugh. We aim to change each of the videos every four to five days, to maintain interest, build local brand awareness and most importantly drive footfall into stores.”
