Budgens has opened a new Kavanagh’s Budgens branch in Eton.
Kavanagh’s Budgens Eton opened its doors on 20 August and is the fifth Budgens store owned by the Kavanagh Group, Ireland’s largest independent supermarket company.
The new store will feature an increased range in breakfast, coffee and lunch to go options after success with the products in the newest Budgens stores in Crouch End and Byfleet.
Kavanagh’s Budgens Eton has also expanded its local, organic, ‘free-from’ and artisan ranges across the 3,000 sq ft store which features an extensive fresh produce area and will shortly open an on-site Post Office.
“Kavanagh’s Budgens of Eton is an exciting prospect, there is a strong focus on store design and key shopping missions with improved bakery and fresh offers. I’m sure this store will be a great success for both Noel and Budgens,” said Budgens director Mike Baker.
To promote the opening Budgens offered the first 50 customers a bottle of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc and handed out samples from brands including Sipsmith Gin, Bangors Galore, Cuisine de France, More Foods and Real Pie Co.
Staff also handed out leaflets offering customers £5 off when they spend £20 in the new store to publicise the launch.
“I am truly excited about opening the doors of our new state-of-the-art store, something the Eton community can be proud of,” said MD of Kavanagh Retailing UK Noel Kavanagh Jnr.
“We are a family business that operates four other Budgens stores in Surrey and West Sussex. We pride ourselves in providing top quality fresh food, excellent customer services and supporting local suppliers.”
The new store is located at 124a High Street, Eton, SL4 6AN and is open Mon-Sat: 7am-10pm, Sun: 10am-5pm.
