Burton’s Biscuit Company has unveiled its first variety format for its Fish ‘n’ Chips portfolio.
The new multipack will feature two 25g bags each of the snack brand’s Salt ‘n’ Vinegar, Pickled Onion and Chicken ‘n’ Chips variants (rsp: £1.89). It will be available in Asda from this month, with further listings expected.
The launch of the latest format follows the reintroduction of Chicken ‘n’ Chips in May, after shoppers campaigned on social media for the return of the flavour that had its heyday in the 1980s. Its revival followed that of the Fish ‘n’ Chips brand in 2014 as a result of The Grocer’s Bring Back a Brand campaign.
“As savoury biscuits increasingly move in on the crisps category, there’s never been a better time to align the brand with other bestsellers by introducing a mixed-flavour multipack,” said David Costello, head of category and shopper management at Burton’s.
