Burts Chips is to concentrate its efforts on the multipack market following success in the multiples.
The company is launching its first range of multipacks for adults and has revamped its range of kids’ multipacks. It has built a new factory to cope with the expected demand.
“We had shied away from multipacks as unsuitable for smaller stockists,” said MD Jonty White. “However we are now listed in Tesco and Sainsbury’s and consumers were asking for this format.”
The kids’ crisps now have a ‘camouflage’ print as well as the Great Ormond Street Hospital logo as Burts is donating 3% of the sale price of each pack to the charity.
