Butlin’s has upgraded four of its Nisa stores with refits and new signage

Butlin’s is ramping up its convenience offer in a significant investment across its Nisa estate.

The holiday resort operator has upgraded four Nisa stores at its resorts in Skegness, Minehead and Bognor Regis.

New features of the refits include a refreshed food to go offer supplied by Country Choice, a Costa Coffee machine and a revised shelving layout to allow a bigger product range.

It has also installed energy-saving chillers and revamped the checkout area to include additional pay stations.

All four stores have been fitted with either a Nisa Local or Nisa Express fascia. It marks the first time Butlin’s has diverted away from its independent store signage, called The Supermarket, since partnering with Nisa in 2016.

Butlin’s said the investment reflected its focus on improving the customer experience and meeting the evolving needs of guests.

“At Butlin’s, we’re always looking for ways to enhance our guests’ experience, and our convenience stores play a vital role in that,” said Butlin’s retail operations support partner Hannah Higgs.

“This investment allows us to offer a better selection of products, whether for a quick snack, a family meal, or holiday essentials. Working with Nisa has been instrumental in helping us meet the high expectations of our guests.”

Nisa key account manager Darren Bacon said: “We are delighted to support Butlin’s in this significant investment in their convenience stores. Through our partnership, we’re helping to ensure that guests have access to Co-op’s trusted own-brand products.”

Butlin’s also runs a fifth Nisa store at its Hemel Hempstead resort, while Nisa also works with Haven Holidays owner Bourne Leisure.

Nisa said the convenience retail sector was growing in holiday resorts, while on-site retail options were important for guest satisfaction.
