Wholesale buying group Sugro has launched an NPD sample box for its members.
The boxes will be prepared, packed and despatched up to eight times a year by Sugro member and discount wholesaler Approved Food.
The new initiative is designed to drive core range sales by including bestseller items, as well as provide suppliers with feedback on their NPD.
Each of the boxes will contain up to 10 products.
“At Sugro we are committed to working with both members and suppliers to deliver new and exciting marketing initiatives to maximise sales growth and distribution opportunities,” said Sugro head of trading and marketing Yulia Petitt.
“I am delighted with the launch of the sample box which will be a fantastic opportunity for the suppliers to showcase their products to wholesalers and to allow members to familiarise themselves with some exciting products and to help with making purchasing decisions.

The move follows a similar ‘Brand Box’ scheme launched by Unitas in October 2020 as part of its Plan for Profit scheme.
