London’s Olympic Park and Village was built on Boost bars, a new report has revealed.
The countline – produced by Olympic sponsor Cadbury - was the number one snack choice for the site’s 46,000 construction workers, according to data from vending machine supplier VendEase.
The company said builders munched their way through 7,000 of the 310-calorie Boost bars – totalling more than two million calories a month.
Following Boost as the most popular items in the Olympic site’s 25 vending machines were fellow Cadbury products Twirl, Whisper and Snack Shortcake.
“Once again, vending machines have proved their worth in providing a 24/7 service where it’s needed most, said VendEase director Dave Berman.
