Cadbury’s Freddo confectionery brand is set to make its UK biscuits debut, with the launch of two SKUs.
The first, Cadbury Freddo Face Cakes, are set to roll out on Monday (18 December) – created for family sharing occasions and described by its maker as “a soft cake sandwich with a creamy chip choc filling” (rsp: £1.50/180g). The pack contains six biscuits with different Freddo faces.
The NPD will be joined on shelf in the new year by Cadbury Freddo Biscuits. Available from 12 January, it is a pack of biscuits shaped like the Freddo character and half covered in chocolate (rsp: £1.50/167g).
The launches were aimed at attracting “young families and the next generation of biscuit lovers” according to Cadbury owner Mondelez.
The company’s marketing manager for Cadbury Biscuits, Chiara Missio, said the combination of Freddo and biscuit was “an ideal partnership” that would unlock further sales for family-facing snacks.
