Caffè Nero has acquired London-based independent FCB Coffee for an undisclosed sum.
This is the second acquisition for the group in the past few weeks, after snapping up Nottingham-based 200 Degrees at the end of October.
FCB operates in 11 locations, primarily transport hubs in London and the south east, having opened its first kiosk in 1998.
“I’m very pleased to bring FCB into our group,” said Nero Group founder and CEO Gerry Ford. “Its stores offer commuters in transport locations very high-quality coffee.
“This is part of our strategy to provide customers with premium coffee no matter where they might be. As the coffee market develops, we continue to be focused on the premium, specialty coffee category.”
The Nero Group contains five brands: Caffè Nero, Coffee #1, Harris + Hoole, Aroma, and the latest joiner 200 Degrees.
FCB’s acquisition will grow the group’s presence in key commuting hubs to over 50 sites in the UK.
