Australian wine brand Hardys wants to encourage consumers to buy more food and wine together. It is investing £10m in a campaign across the on- and off-trade with the slogan "Best Wine Under the Sun for Any Occasion." Promotional activities, which are yet to be confirmed, will target consumers in Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda as well as other retailers. A PR campaign will also highlight the message that Hardys is the perfect partner for food because of its diverse range of styles. In the on-trade, brand-owner Constellation Europe is running a Chef of the Year Competition. Last year the company launched a text service, which helps shoppers choose the best wine for their food.
