Canderel has added a vanilla-flavoured variant to its low-calorie sweetener brand in what it claims is a market first.
Canderel Vanilla, which is available now exclusively from Sainsbury's, is made with Madagascan vanilla grains. Each stick has the equivalent sweetness of two teaspoons of sugar, which contain 40 calories, but the Canderel contains only seven calories (rsp: £2.49 for a box of 40 sticks).
The newcomer will benefit from a £2m marketing budget earmarked for the whole brand this year, including TV, online and sampling activity.
