Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) has teamed up with forthcoming animated sequel Minions to launch a limited edition flavour and on-pack promotion for Capri-Sun.
The promo, which features on 10-packs of the juice drink, will give shoppers the chance to win a family trip to New York, as well as one of 2000 squishy Minions toys. It will be supported with in store activity and a £200,000 press campaign, targeting mums.
The new banana and apple flavour, BanApple, is available in selected retailers now, and rolls out to other retailers next month.
Minions is the follow up to Despicable Me 2, the highest grossing film of 2013 in the UK and Ireland with box office receipts of $72.3m (£48.1m at today’s exchange rate).
“The Minions film franchise is tipped to be a great success this Summer, so we’re confident that the new variant and on-pack promotion will further boost the brands’ growth,” said CCE operational marketing director Caroline Carter.
