Lifesize inflatable models of England rugby union captain Martin Johnson are on offer from Carlsberg-Tetley as part of the brewer's marketing programme for Tetley Bitter, centred on the Six Nations Championship.
The brew is in the fourth year of its campaign to become the official beer of English rugby. It is official beer supplier to the England team and to Twickenham and has branding rights at Six Nations England home games. It is also the lead sponsor of rugby union's knock out tournament, the Tetley Bitter Cup, the final of which takes place on February 24.
The brewer is running its TV ads for the beer throughout the Six Nations tournament, which runs until April, and introducing rugby themed outdoor advertising.
The inflatable Johnsons can be acquired by sending in promotional ringpulls from Tetley's Smoothflow and Tetley's Original, together with £4.99.
Doug Clydesdale head of marketing said: "Our long term commitment to rugby ensures the total integration of the Tetley's brand with rugby in the minds of our target audience."
