Euro Garages has struck a deal with Starbucks to open up to 30 drive-thru coffee shops in its forecourts by 2013.
The first drive-thru opened this week at the Euro Garages site in Deeside, north Wales, following the success of a pilot site in Cardiff in 2008. Further drive-thrus are expected to open in Shrewsbury and Runcorn within the month. The move is part of Starbucks' strategy to move into new areas of the market.
"Our customers want Starbucks coffee when they're on the go, but don't want to compromise on the quality of the coffee or the service they get. With this deal they won't have to do either," said Darcy Willson-Rymer, MD of Starbucks UK & Ireland.
"We've had great success with our first drive-thru, and Euro Garages' commitment to service and innovation makes them the right partner for us," he added.
It is the second deal secured by Euro Garages with a high street name. Last August, the company joined forces with Greggs to launch the baker's first forecourt concession, at its Blackford Bridge forecourt store in Bury.
"It's essential for us to work with strong brands who share our commitment to innovation," said Euro Garages director Mohsin Issa.
"Our partnership with Starbucks will complement the offer on our existing estate, as well as enable us to accelerate our growth with new stand-alone drive-thrus across the UK."
