Molson Coors is launching a new Home Draught beer system to "bring the perfect pint to living rooms" ahead of this summer's World Cup backed by an £8m marketing spend.
The 10-pint kegs, launched under the Carling, Coors Light and Grolsch brands, are designed to fit easily into a fridge. They will reach Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Makro, Booths and Spar stores next month, priced from £15 for Carling to £19 for Grolsch.
Home Draught would "reinvigorate the off-trade beer market and improve the in-home beer experience", said Molson Coors UK chief executive Mark Hunter. "Home Draught will provide a massive boost to the industry and will add long-term value."
To produce the kegs, a new production line has been built at Molson Coors' Burton on Trent brewery, creating 36 new jobs. An £8m marketing support campaign, including TV, kicks off next month.
