Securicor Security has launched an ATM service in the UK and aims to develop between 2,500 and 3,000 sites within the next two years. Chief executive Nick Buckles said: "Although it is early days, we already have 250 sites in operation nationwide and a further 1,000 placements confirmed." The company is focusing on independent c-stores, but is planning to expand its network to other sectors. Unlike major competitors, Securicor does not offer the retailer commission on withdrawals from its ATMs, but claims retailers benefit from an increase in the number of visitors likely to make purchases on site.
