Castle MacLellan has launched two cheese bake fondues into Iceland.
The Kavli brand’s new range (rsp: £4) is available in two flavours: Scottish Cheddar & Red Chilli Pepper and Scottish Cheddar & Smoky Chorizo Sausage.
The Scottish Cheddar & Red Chilli Pepper is made of cheddar cheese with a kick of sweet and fiery red chilli pepper, and is “ideal for sharing platters or served with nachos”.
The chorizo variant is designed to pair with crusty bread or as part of a buffet.
The brand said both lines are easy to prepare with simple cooking instructions found on pack, and are ideal for a Christmas buffet, a “picky tea”, or as an addition to a sharing board.

MacLellan is hoping to tap into a growing trend for indulgent, shareable cheese products and recipes, which has helped grow cheese bakes as a product.
The packaging and on-pack photography has “excellent shelf standout and luxurious consumer appeal”.
