Jack Daniel's whiskey is to be given a £2 million marketing push for its birthday.
Guinness UDV has set aside the sum to celebrate 151 years of the famous tipple later this month.
The Tennessee whiskey is being supported by national print advertising and Guinness has also joined up with Virgin Radio and Q magazine for a birthday sponsorship deal. On offer will be a trip to the brand's home town of Lynchberg in the US.
In addition, the campaign will reach 250,000 enthusiasts with bottles featuring neck hangers. Point of sale deals will also be on offer in cash and carries.
A spokesman said the brand dominated the UK imported whiskey sector with nearly half the market share and volumes growing by 8%.
