Christopher Carson, CEO of Constellation Europe, has announced that he is to retire within six months.
Carson, who became CEO for the drinks company in April
last year after the merger of Constellation Wines Europe with Matthew Clark, will continue in his position until a new CEO is appointed and take on the role of non-executive chairman for two years after his retirement.
Previously, Carson was CEO for BRL Hardy Europe.
Separately, Dan Townsend, UK trading director for Constellation Europe, has been promoted to European trading director. He will be supported by Peter Spencer, who has been appointed senior vice president for UK sales, wine.
