Premium ready meals brand Charlie Bigham’s has launched a range of grain-based variants for two, featuring “sumptuous world flavours”.
Available from 25 April from Waitrose, the six-strong lineup of chilled meat, fish and vegetarian meals was aimed at shoppers “following meat-free or flexitarian diets”.
Variants include Salmon Teriyaki with Edamame, Bok Choi, Sticky Jasmine Rice & Quinoa, and Roasted Aubergine & Halloumi with Butter Beans in a Tomato Sauce & Bulgur Wheat (rsp: £8.50/772g-800g).
The launch follows strong value growth for Charlie Bigham’s. Sales are up 16.3% to £58.3m [Nielsen 52 w/e 30 December 2017].
