Dairy co-operative Milk Link is reorganising its liquid milk and cheese business divisions in order to “accelerate progress towards the achievement of its strategic goals”.
The Cheese Company and Milk Link Beverages will be combined into one new retail and foodservices division, with the co-op’s distribution and ingredients businesses forming a second unit. The new structures will eradicate duplication and reduce costs, says the company, while improving customer focus, speed of response, category management and product development.
The move comes two weeks after the company rationalised its UHT production, closing its Tanners factory in Essex.
