A fire on one of Wyke Farms' lorries last week could cost the company as much as £200,000.
The fire occurred when the lorry which was carrying 20 tonnes of extra mature Cheddar was travelling between Wyke's dairy in Bruton, Somerset, to its depot in Wincanton on Tuesday last week.
Wyke said the fire, which may have been caused by an electrical fault, had caused between £180,000 and £200,000 of damage to stock, lorry and trailer.
None of the cheese was salvageable, but no one was hurt in the incident.
