Cheviot UK Wine Agencies, based in Glasgow, has filled two newly created senior sales posts.
Hugh Laughton is director of sales for England. He has spent 13 years with wine agents, including H Parrott, Domaines Drouhin & Associates and Lawlers. For the past five years he has been a consultant to the industry in London.
Alexander Meaney has been appointed sales manager and will report to Laughton. He will be responsible for sales in the London region and was previously a sales manager for Forth Wines.
Cheviot UK Wine Agencies is a sister company to Scottish drinks wholesaler William Morton and its portfolio includes Lang's whisky and Portuguese wine José Maria da Fonseca.
