Chicago Town has moved into puddings with the launch of The Chocolate Dessert Pizza.
Targeted at the family meal and ‘big night in’ sharing occasions, the limited-edition SKU from the Dr Oetker brand includes a mix of milk, dark and white chocolate toppings on chocolate dough base - which Chicago Town claims is a market first.
Rolling out now into the frozen aisle, the sweet pizza will be backed by PR, social and in-store activity. It follows the introduction earlier this year of seven new Chicago Town variants, including Takeaway Pulled Beef Brisket, Deep Dish Mega Meaty, and Pizza Melt BBQ Chicken.
The latest launch was a great example of consumer-led innovation, claimed Richard Cooper, senior brand manager for Chicago Town.
“It’s a natural extension to our range,” he added. “The limited-edition packaging will stand out in freezers and make Chicago Town the obvious choice for frozen pizza fans looking to satisfy their sweet tooth.”
