Nestlé Rowntree aims to appeal to health-conscious mums by moving to real fruit juice and no artificial colours or flavours across its Rowntree brands.
The company is the latest manufacturer to make its products healthier and more child-friendly. They include Fruit Pastilles, Fruit Gums, Jelly Tots and Tooty Fruities.
Sales communications manager Graham Walker said the company expected to increase sales of its Rowntree brands as a result of the move.
Nestlé Rowntree will also launch fresh concepts from June 1. A sugar-free lolly with a fizzy centre will come in strawberry, blackcurrant and orange flavours (rsp: 28p).
Other products will include Giant Bugs (rsp: 10p), Beetles and Butterflies (rsp: 20p); as well as a relaunch of Jungle Mix and Scary Sours hanging bags (rsp: £1.07).
