A hot new wine brand looks set to fire up the Chilean wine category with a modern packaging concept.
Chilean wine producer Luis Felipe Edwards has developed Dancing Flame, which is set to be launched into the UK at the Annual Wines of Chile trade tasting on September 13.
The creative idea for the brand is based around the fleeting visions reportedly seen in the dancing flames of a camp fire, believed to be fuelled by the spirits of the land.
Distributor D&D Wines International conducted a category review of the whole New World category, where it identified Chile as having the most potential for growth before creating the concept.
Lewis Jones, marketing director for D&D Wines, said: “The label has been refined based on feedback from both consumers and key trade buyers to ensure that it is eye-catching.”
The wines, produced at the Luis Felipe Edwards estate in the Colchagua Valley, will retail at £4.79. The Dancing Flame range includes Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec and Shiraz Carmenère.
