John Chillcott has been named the new chief executive officer of Anglia Regional Co-operative Society.
Chillcott, who has worked at the society for 16 years, moves up from the role of food executive. He is taking over from Neil Double who announced his retirement in May this year, following five years as CEO and more than 44 years with the society.
"We have some immediate challenges to meet and some great opportunities to explore. I look forward to working with everyone," said Chillcott
Anglia is the UK's sixth-largest co-operative society, employing 3,400 staff, with an annual turnover of £360m.
