Golden Wonder is continuing its drive to deliver favourite takeaway flavours in the bagged snacks arena with a chip shop-inspired brand extension for Wheat Crunchies.
Claiming a flavour first in the sector, Golden Wonder is adding chicken and mushroom to the Crunchies stable, which already includes spicy tomato, crispy bacon and Worcester sauce.
The move follows last month's announcement that the UK was to get its first packet of Chinese takeaway-inspired Sweet & Sour crisps, under the Golden Wonder umbrella banner.
Both new additions come as Golden Wonder begins a new era following its takeover by Longulf.
Brand marketing director Kirsty Taylor said of the latest addition: "Wheat Crunchies already has a particularly loyal consumer base and this will encourage even more people to try it."
