Well Pharmacy has appointed Chris Ellett as its new transformation director.
The former Co-op group head of transformation joins the Bestway-owned independent pharmacy chain after more than 10 years in senior roles at companies including Boxwood.
In his new role, Ellett will be responsible for leading the IT, programme management office, and innovation functions, reporting directly to CEO John Nuttall. “I’m excited to be joining Well at such an important time,” said Ellett.
“As consumer behaviours, expectations and needs change, and the market landscape continues to evolve, we have a unique opportunity to deliver true convenience, clinical effectiveness, and make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of our customers. With 780 stores nationwide, we know we can play an even greater role in alleviating the current pressures on the NHS and harness technology-led solutions to make community pharmacy truly valuable, while delivering the outstanding customer care people have come to expect from their local Well pharmacy.”
Well said Ellett would be tasked to shape and define the future strategy for the Well Group, which incorporates Well, Well Careplus and Bestway Medhub.
“We are delighted to have someone of Chris’ calibre on-board for what will be a pivotal role within our organisation,” added Nuttall.
“It is the right time to introduce this function into the Well executive team, as we shape and define the long-term future of the Well Group of businesses.”
