Berry Bros & Rudd CFO Chris Robinson has stepped down, The Grocer has learned.
Robinson, former group finance and planning director at Tesco, joined the upmarket wine and spirits retailer three-and-a-half years ago.
Confirming Robinson’s departure, Berry Bros & Rudd executive chairman Lizzy Rudd said he had been “instrumental in shaping the business for long-term growth, including negotiating the sale of The Glenrothes brand, leading the strategy behind the investment in Hotaling & Co. and driving our IT business transformation”.
“Chris will be greatly missed and we wish him every success in his future endeavours”, she added.
He has been succeeded by Emily Rae, formerly the business’ head of financial planning, strategy and analysis, who has taken up the role of finance director.
It comes after the retailer’s former CEO Dan Jago stepped down in January after leading a three-year turnaround of the business.
