Somerset producer Thatchers is carving a niche for itself in the premium cider market in the off-trade.
Its collection of single variety ciders have won listings in most of the major multiples. And it is now introducing another variant into the range.
The latest is Spartan which joins Cox's, Katy and Tremlett's Bitter. Each is named after the apple from which it is made.
Managing director Martin Thatcher said that value and volume sales of the collection increased by 50% last year as a result of increased listings and rate of sale.
He is confident that these growth levels will continue.
