The Co-op is launching what it claims will be the UK's first Fairtrade Christmas pudding and mince pies.
The pudding has been made using 52% Fairtrade ingredients including raisins, demerara sugar, muscavado sugar, dates and ginger.
The mincemeat in the mince pies contained 37% Fairtrade ingredients such as apples, sugar, raisins, sultanas and mixed spice. The Christmas pudding will go into all 3,200 stores in the movement this month with the mince pies available in early December.
Meanwhile, all festive meat products in the Co-op's premium range Truly Irresistible will carry RSPCA's Freedom Food mark.
