The Co-operative Group has expanded its Truly Irresistible own-label wine range with three Old World Wines.
The premium trio comprises Pic Saint-Loup Rosé 2013, a blend of syrah and grenache; Picpoul de Pinet 2013, pitched as an alternative to Muscadet; and Barbera d’Asti 2012, a smooth red wine with hints of black cherries and plums (rsp: £6.99/75cl).
A selection of branded wines has also been added, including Matthieu Lecleve’s Touraine Sauvignon Blanc 2013 (£7.99) and La Rabatte Chianti 2013 from Tuscan producer Castello di Querceto (£6.99). Wine buyer Ben Cahill said The Co-op was focused on “delicious and esoteric blends.”
