The Co-operative Group has made its first podcast to spread the word about its portfolio of businesses.
A podcast will be available to download from the society's website every three months, to coincide with the publishing of its quarterly online magazine.
The first 20-minute podcast includes an interview with film director Anders Østergaard on his recent film Burma VJ and information on the society's campaign for democracy in Burma. It also features recipes for Hallowe'en and Bonfire Night and a feature on The Co-op Group's Funeralcare horses.
"The concept of podcasts is new for us, but we saw its potential as a way of engaging more with our customers and members," said Terry Hudghton, head of brand at The Co-op Group. "We wanted to demonstrate how seriously we take our 'good for everyone' motto."
